Hey, I'm Hayden.
I've been photographing weddings across Connecticut and New England for over a decade, more than I can count at this point, but each one still feels special.
My path here was unconventional. I started as a valet at a wedding venue (Lord Thompson Manor), watching photographers work and thinking, "I want to do that." So I dropped out of college, went to photography school at Hallmark Institute, and dove headfirst into photography and in particular, weddings. Best decision I ever made.
Why film + digital?
I shoot both because they each do something the other can't. Film gives you that timeless, nostalgic quality, the kind of images that feel like they could've been taken in any decade. Digital gives me the flexibility to capture every moment without compromise. Together, they tell your story more completely than either could alone.
What I've learned in 10+ years:
Every wedding is different, but the best ones share something in common: they feel authentic. My job isn't to stage perfection; it's to document the real, beautiful, chaotic, joyful moments that make your day yours.
I also understand wedding day flow intimately. After hundreds of weddings, I know how to read a room, anticipate moments, and work seamlessly with your other vendors so everything runs smoothly.
A little about me:
I married my high school sweetheart, Sarah, in Newport in 2023. Planning our own wedding gave me even more appreciation for the couples I work with. This process is a lot, and I'm here to make the photography part easy.
When I'm not shooting, I'm usually with Sarah and our two doodles, Peach and Clementine, enjoying slow mornings with good espresso or exploring New England for new venues and locations.
